CSEF

Parents. guardians that hold a valid, means-tested health care card are eligible to receive the Department’s CSEF funding.

An annual payment of $125.00 per student will be placed on the eligible family’s school account to pay for any camps, excursions or sporting activities.

Prep families who are eligible for CSEF are automatically eligible to receive the ‘Prep Uniform Package’ which comprises of a jumper/jacket, pants and school shoes.

Conveyance Allowance

Families in rural and regional Victoria may be eligible for conveyance allowance - assistance from the Department to help with the cost of transporting students to school.

To be eligible, students must:

  • attend their nearest government or non government school/campus appropriate to their year level at which admission is permissible

  • be enrolled at a school/campus outside Melbourne’s metropolitan conveyance boundary

  • live 4.8km or more by the shortest practicable route from the school/campus attended

  • be of school age at the time of application and reside in Victoria

State School’s Relief

SSR is an autonomous, charitable organisation that assists students experiencing short term crisis and long term chronic needs attending government schools in Victoria, with school clothing, footwear, textbooks and other essential items.
